Effective July 1, 2017, The Health Plan Medicaid members will begin receiving pharmacy services through traditional Medicaid. The Health Plan will continue to provide your other medical services and help with coordinating your care.
You will not experience any change in your ability to access your pharmacy services or medications. Here are some things to know about the pharmacy services update:
- You can continue to go to your current pharmacy.
- Your pharmacist will be billing a different company. They will use your traditional Medicaid number located on your blue paper Medicaid Card. Take this card with you to the pharmacy if you have it.
- The way you get medical, dental and behavioral health services will not change. New ID cards were mailed to all members with an updated phone number for pharmacy services.
If you have any questions, you can call the Molina Help Desk at 1.888.483.0797. Molina is now responsible for paying for your pharmacy services. Again, only the payer of the service is changing, not your Medicaid coverage.
If you need mental health or substance use services, call a participating provider directly and make an appointment. If you need help to make an appointment or have questions about finding a provider in your area, call 1.877.221.9295.

If you are out of the area and have a mental health or substance use emergency, go to the emergency room for help. Always show your Medicaid and The Health Plan ID cards to the provider.
Our nurses will help you find the services that you need and can answer your questions. We offer special programs to help you find providers, offer educational materials and give you a person to call at The Health Plan. For information about these programs call 1.877.221.9295.
