Important Dates to Remember

 

Medicare has many important dates throughout the year that you need to be aware of. Check back to this page often!

November 15 - December 31

Between November 15 and December 31, Medicare beneficiaries can enroll in a Medicare health benefits plan, such as one of the ones offered by The Health Plan/THP. Enroll in a plan now.

January 1 - March 31

If you are not satisfied with your Medicare Advantage Plan, you may be able to switch plans between January 1 and March 31. You can only make one change during this time period and you may not add or drop Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.

April 1 - November 14

This time period is referred to as the "lock-in" period. During this time only certain Medicare beneficiaries can enroll in or disenroll from a Medicare Advantage Plan. This would include Medicare Beneficiaries who are in their initial enrollment period and those who qualify for a special enrollment period. October 1 - November 14

Beginning October 1, Medicare Advantage Plans will be announcing their plan benefit and premium information for the upcoming year. This is the time to compare plan options and decide which plan is for you.
