Direct Deposit can be set up for any healthcare provider receiving payments from The Health Plan.
The Health Plan will accept a completed Health Plan Direct Deposit Form
or any State supplied form to set up the system to begin depositing the payments. The Direct Deposit payments will be submitted to your financial institution as direct at the same time as paper check payments are placed in the mail.
All product lines including HMO, THP (POS/PPO), PEIA, Medicare, and WV Medicaid will be directly deposited. Our Self-Funded Employer lines will continue to be sent by paper check. This is due to the funds coming directly from the Self Funded Employer Group for distribution.
Additional set up information pertaining to your Direct Deposit set up includes:
- Upon receipt, your request will be set up prior to the next payment release.
- The paper vouchers as well as the eletronic vouchers (835/ERA) will have a check numer which will begin with 000888888.
- Direct deposit will usually be sent early in the morning. Your bank's schedule of posting electronic payments will dictate when it will be in your banking account.
- Paper Vouchers will continue to be mailed at this time but can be obtained the same day of the deposit on our secure Provider website for our participating healthcare providers.
